Goals & Feedback

When you first start the service, you're required to setup your profile, which includes setting your goals. As expected, the software allows a fair amount of personalization when setting them up as people have different goals and motivations. These goals can fall into three broad categories:

  • Lose Weight
  • Maintain Weight
  • Get Active

In my case, I opted to do custom goals that had elements of activity and weight. These goals also drive the Target figures that you see on your Dashboard.

Audible Reminders

Another way you can personalize the service is through the use of reminders. Basically, these are timed reminders that triggers an audible alert from the armband. The sound is in a range you can hear, but not so loud that it will draw attention. I used this feature to signal me at designated times to drink more water. Although there are different reminder types, no text displays on the armband.

Feedback & Tips

With the latest update come some nice feedback messages that appear to the left of section heads on your dashboard. Below is a suggestion on how to get more Calories Burned as it looks like I’ll be 75 calories shy of my target.

If I don’t like the aerobics suggestion, I can click Show me more activities. This produces a panel that lists more activities by intensity and location.

The software will also show you suggestions based on the previous day. In the example below, I’m being called out for probably the serving of Niman Ranch applewood smoked bacon. Ironically, on the day I ate the bacon, the program provided a daily fat warning which prompted me to have 2 slices instead of 3.
