About.COM Palmtops |
| If you can get past About.com's annoying page layout, you can get some great info here. William Hungerford offers some good articles on PDAs on this site. This is a subject he knows well since he's a tech writer and software developer. Chances are you've seen his content on other sites too. |
Install, Find, and Remove Your Apps |
| Have you ever scratched your head, wondering how to download some great software you found on the Internet? Or run into a .CAB file that you weren't sure how to download? |
Microsoft Support WebCast: ActiveSync |
| This Support WebCast is for all developers and customers who have questions or issues about ActiveSync. The WebCast brings the experts together to discuss the most frequently experienced scenarios that people have with ActiveSync. |
Pocket PC Central |
| I like the clean design of this site. The site has good content ranging from news to rebates. There is also a good help section where you can see tutorials or device specific help. The site also includes sections for Palm, MP3 players and smartphones. |
Pocket PC Thoughts |
| This site is probably the most visited PocketPC site outside of Microsoft. The site offers good reviews and commentary on the industry including the occasional swing/compliment to the Palm OS folks. Definitely worth setting a bookmark and visiting. The site also has a membership feature with benefits such as discounts. |
Powertoys for the Pocket PC |
| If you're familiar with power toys from Microsoft then this page won't surprise you. All the entries are for the Pocket PC. Of course, these apps come with the typical MS disclaimer that they are not supported. But don't let that stop you. |
Smartphone & Pocket PC |
| This site is the compliment to the magazine which has been around for awhile, but adapted to technology changes. Initially, they were just Pocket PC but recognized Smartphones were coming. Both the site and the magazine offer great articles, tips and reviews. |
Windows Mobile |
| Don't overlook Microsoft when it comes to info even if their name isn't on the outside of the device. Like many Microsoft sites, they offer news, tutorials, tips and reviews. They also have a dedicated section on Updates and Troubleshooting. |
