Many of you have asked it we could add a way to tag stories or to link them to other bookmarking sites. We’ve had some luck and some false starts, but we haven’t given up trying. One step in that direction is some changes we would like to make in our RSS feeds. Before making that commitment, we thought we’d give you folks an opportunity to try out the service and let us know what you think.

One of the solutions is to use some of the advanced features of FeedBurner. This service allows us to add various links to an item such as del.icio.us. This is one of the more popular services that allow you to keep and share bookmarks and favorites.

To test these services, we created another feed with a different address. This is different than the link that shows in the WEB MONITORS + RSS section. If people like the new service, we will change the coding to reflect the new feed address. If you've already subscribed to our RSS feed, this new feed will show as another feed. It will not replace anything and the content is the same except for the new features.

You can subscribe to this new RSS feed from the link below. You can either select a web RSS reader from the page or use the link in your own reader.

Another reason we looked at FeedBurner was because they integrate with FeedBlitz. This is a service that allows you to get updates via email. As a user you can subscribe to our feed as well as others and get a consolidated email. If you want to try this option, use the form below.

Either of these options will alert you to new stories we’ve posted without your having to remember to visit.

We’d be interested to know what you think of these services. What works and what doesn’t. Feel free to drop us a comment.
