Home 5 Minute Tips General Leveraging the Wheel Mouse

PostHeaderIcon Leveraging the Wheel Mouse

Here's a quick tip for people that use a wheel mouse. Various programs such as Microsofts Internet Explorer and Word allow you to change attributes using the wheel.

To increase the text size on a web page in Internet Explorer,

1. Click and hold the Control key (Ctrl)

2. Using the mouse wheel, scroll the wheel toward you.

The text on the web page should increase. Using the mouse wheel, you should be able to move through five different font sizes. To reduce the font size, reverse the procedure. One caveat is some web pages have fixed fonts and don't allow people to adjust the size.

A similar functionality exists in Microsoft Word. The difference is rather than changing the font size, you're changing the zoom setting.
